Terms of service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
The short version
- The account is the parent’s. You must be 18 or over to create one, and you are agreeing to these terms on your child’s behalf.
- Knoo is an AI. It can be wrong, and it is not a teacher, a doctor or a friend who can help in an emergency.
- The free trial is one-time — 70 questions, 4 pictures and 5 voice minutes, once for the life of the account. It does not reset monthly.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, renew automatically, and are cancelled in your device’s account settings — not by us.
1. Who this agreement is with
Knoo is provided by Ardo Solutions L.L.C-FZ (United Arab Emirates). By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Knoo.
2. The account belongs to a grown-up
Knoo is designed for children aged 3–15, but the account is yours. You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child who uses it. You consent on their behalf, you set the PIN, and you are responsible for what happens under your account — including keeping the PIN away from your child, since it protects settings and purchases.
3. What Knoo is, and is not
Knoo answers using artificial intelligence. Its lessons, stories and puzzles are written by people in advance, but conversation replies are generated and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable despite our safety checks. Before every voice call the app tells your child it is an AI and not a real person.
Knoo is not a substitute for teaching, medical, psychological or legal advice, and it is not an emergency service. If a child is in danger or distress, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. Our safety alerts are a help to you, not a guarantee that everything concerning will be caught.
4. Plans, quotas and what they include
Every paid plan includes all 172 mini-lessons and 52 stories, every parent control and safety alert, and no ads. The free trial includes five stories for each age band and the first seven lessons of each age band, plus every parent control and safety alert.
- Free trial — 70 questions, 4 pictures and 5 voice minutes. This is a one-time allowance for the life of the account, not a monthly free tier, and it does not renew. Everything stays on one device.
- Starter — $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Up to 30 questions a day and 30pictures each week. No voice minutes — Starter is text and pictures.
- Premium — $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year. Up to 40 questions a day, 25 pictures and 60 voice minutes each week.
- Max — $29.99 a month or $249.99 a year. Up to 300 questions a day, 60 pictures and 150 voice minutes each week.
Weekly allowances reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC, and an unused weekly allowance does not carry over. Questions are capped per day and pictures and voice minutes per week, at exactly the numbers above — we would rather print every number than call anything unlimited and meter it quietly. Separately from those allowances, a paid family can buy top-up packs of pictures, voice minutes or questions as one-off purchases; a top-up balance is added to the family’s account, is spent only once the weekly allowance is used up, and does not expire. We may also act on use that is automated, resold or clearly not a child using the app as intended.
5. Billing, renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and those stores take the payment — we never see your card. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before it ends. On the App Store, Apple requires the cancellation at least 24 hours before the renewal date; on Google Play you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Either way, cancel in your Apple or Google account settings; removing the app does not cancel anything.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us, though write to us and we will help where we can. If we change prices, existing subscribers are told before the change takes effect.
6. Using it properly
Please do not try to break the safety systems, extract the content library, resell access, use the app through automated tools, or upload anything unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may suspend an account doing any of that.
7. Content and ownership
The lessons, stories, puzzles, artwork and the Knoo name remain ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them in the app while your account is active. Pictures your child creates are theirs to keep; by making them in Knoo you allow us to process and store them to provide the feature.
8. Availability
We work to keep Knoorunning, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Features may change, and occasionally one may be removed — if that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you.
9. Liability
Knoois provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death, personal injury or fraud — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account, which removes your family’s data as described in the privacy policy. We may end an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why unless the law prevents us.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms the date above changes with them, and for material changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Knoo after that means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your own country’s law. Questions: knooteam@gmail.com.
